Autocare (Croydon) was first started in 1985 by Francis Harrison to provide work for his father who had been made redundant from the Evening News.

I had been trading since 1980 as Autoservice and Repair Company and moved in with Francis, renting workshop space and sharing the costs.

In 1990 after the death of his father, he decided to sell. It was "buy it" or go.

Workshops at that time were very difficult to find. To raise the necessary finance I went into partnership with Alan a mechanic whom I had previously rented a workshop with.

We worked as a partnership carrying out repairs and servicing and specializing in Crypton tuning and engine diagnostics.

In 2000 my partner decided on early retirement and sold out his interest directly to me. Since then I have traded as sole proprietor.

One benefit of this is that I can offer a personal service and I regard many of my customers as good friends.

Keeping up with technology these days is very demanding, but by using the facilities of web sites like Uk Autotalk Text it is made a lot easier. Please take a look.
